£5OOO Costs To A.B.A. (N.Z. Press Association' AUCKLAND, Oct. 30. The British Empire middleweight title bout between Earl Nikora (New Zealand) and Gomeo Brennan (Bahamas) to be held next month in Auckland, would be “the most expensive fight ever staged in New Zealand.” said the president of the Auckland Boxing Association (Mr B. R. Arnott) today. The contest in which Nikora and Brennan will compete over 15 rounds for the vacant middle-weight crown, was costing his association about £5OOO to put on. The fight will be at Carlaw Park on November 12. Brennan, who lost the title to Tuna Scanlan earlier this year, has had four or five fights since then. He will arrive in Auckland on Sunday from Honolulu with his mana ger, Mr I. Kline.
