MOORHOUSE AVE. CROSSING

Installation Of Lights

The installation of traffic lights at the intersection of Moorhouse avenue and Manchester street should overcome difficulties with the existing pedestrian crossing, the Christchurch City Council said in a letter received by the Christchurch Metropolitan Road Safety Committee. Moorhouse avenue, the letter said, was a State Highway and accordingly was under the control of the National Roads Board. Any requests for the resiting of the crossing or the construction of a pedestrian subway would have to be discussed with the board.

To ease another's heartache is to forget one's own.—Abraham Lincoln.
