Harried 51 oman Bankrupt A deficiency of £3472 Ils 7d was shown in the statement of affairs of Agnes Thomson, a married, woman, read to a meeting of creditors yesterday by the Official .Assignee (Mr P D. Clancy). Mrs Thomson was adjudged bankrupt on October 5. Mr Clancy said the statement of affairs showed the amount owing to unsecured creditors as £3472 Ils 7d and no assets. In a statement of the reasons for her bankruptcy Mrs Thomson said a firm had been pressing several claims against her: the greater part of her furniture had been repossessed: the balance of her belongings had been taken from the place where she had. been living; her car had also been taken and she did not know witiA had happened to it; and for t 4 months she had been without the support of her husband. She had no assets, said Mrs Thomson replying to questions by Mr Clancy. Most of her debts were incurred between August, 1963, and March 13,. 1964. Ih 1962 she bought furniture valued ati £872 as she was going to start a boarding-house. She had paid a deposit and so much in instalments. The furniture; had been repossessed. Fire In Kitchen.—A small fire in the kitchen at the home of Mr A. Brand, 501 Barbadoes street, caused slight damage yesterday..
