MAN’S BODY FOUND
Dunedin Search By Police (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Oct. 23. The body of Ernest Alfred Bennett, aged 51, was found near Leith stream, Dunedin, by the police party today. Bennett had been sought by the police for questioning in connexion with a knife attack on a widow and her 21-year-old daughter at their home at 21 Ashmore street. Halfway Bush, on Wednesday. Dunedin Hospital today reported the condition of the two injured women, Mrs Marie Westerby, aged 61, and Miss Margaret Westerby, aged 21, as a “little better.”
