Trading ended the week yesterday on a steady but cautious note, with falls just shading rises in both New Zealand and overseas sections.

In first sales since Tuesday’s announcement of a one-for-five bonus issue, Reid Rubber climbed 2s 6d to 73s in Auckland and Wellington. National Insurance continued its firming trend with a Is 3d rise to 295. Australian and New Zealand Bank added another Is to 55s 3d while Northern Roller lost Is 3d to 40s 9d.
