Same Combination In Today’s Double?
(From Our O»n Reporter)
WESTPORT, October 11.
The field will be the same as on Saturday, so everything suggests that the first-day winner, Silver Kingdom, will win the GE. Craig Handicap, the first leg of the T.A.B. double, at Westport tomorrow.
His main opposition should come from Julloch. which on Saturday was unlucky in being badly checked when handy to the leaders near the home turn, and Shalom, which ran creditably for third at his first start after a spell. The second leg. the Menzies Hack Handicap, looks to be at the mercy of ShantyTown if he starts. Shanty Town is entered in two events and it will not be decided until tomorrow | which one he contests. Messmaid, a most impressive maiden winner on the first day, should be the best of the others, although Vivien Robe’s first day performance indicated she is returning to the good form she showed as a juvenile. Riding engagements are: D. N. Hadfield: Julloch. Knight’s Review. Grecian Prince. E. G. Low: Jet Girl, Vivien Robe. Shalom.
