Wind Reduces Attendance
A strong, bitterly cold easterly wind affected the attendance on the first night of the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s spring meeting on Saturday. In the circumstances the crowd of 8830 was most satisfactory. Totalisator investments oncourse amounted to £73,652, including £9128 10s on the double, compared with £92.075 last year. Off-course turnover increased to £113.219, Including £55,613 on the double, from £108,820.
