SECOND DEFEAT
Fijians In France (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) TOULOUSE, Oct. 11. The Fijian Rugby Union team, which recently toured Wales, was beaten by 22 points to 12 by France B in Toulouse yesterday. The French side, which led 11-6 at half-time, won by two goals, three tries, and a penalty goal to two tries and two penalty goals. It was the Fijians’ second defeat in three matches in France. They won two, lost two, and drew one on their tour of Wales last month. They play two more games in France, including an international match in Paris next Saturday, before going on to British Columbia. As in most of their previous matches, the Fijians put the accent on bright, open Rugby. But they could not match the skill and cohesion of the French team.
