VACANCY NO. 3502: DAIRY SCIENCE CADETSHIPS Study awards are available In the Department of Agriculture for boys who are interested in a career in dairy science. Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to study full time at Massey Agricultural College for the B. Food Tech, degree. This will be followed by a period of up to four years’ training in selected dairy factories prior to taking up appointment (in the Dairy Division of the Department) either in the field or in a laboratory, according to aptitude. Candidates must have University Entrance and preferably Higher School Certifiate or expect to pass University Entrance this year. Applications are particularly invited from those who have successfully completed a year of the course. Good physique, appearance, and personality are desirable. VACANCY NO. 3503: HORTICULTURE CADETSHIPS Boys 16 to 19 years of age who are Interested in horticulture are invited to apply for cadetships offered by the Department of Agriculture. Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to study full time at University for the B Ag. Sc. (Horticulture) degree, together with practical training in the field. Candidates are appointed as Advisory Officers in the Horticulture Division of the Department. Candidates must have University Entrance and preferably Higher School Certificate, or'expect to pass University Entrance this year. Undergraduates who have competed one or more years of this course at University will be favourably considered. Preference will be given to those who have taken mathematics and science at school.
