Fijians Beaten In France
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LYON, October 4. South-east France beat Fiji, 28-8, in a Rugby match at Lyon on Saturday, after leading, 15-3, at half-time. Ten thousand spectators gave the Fijians a rousing welcome and applauded their speed and al-round fitness, but South-east France was the better coordinated side. The thrust of the French forwards proved too much for a frequently suspect Fijian defence.
