N.Z. Shares Close Week On Firm Note
New Zealand issues closed the week on a firm, almost buoyant note, with twice as many rises as falls. Overseas stocks were easier with key stocks losing ground. Wilson Malt rose a further Is to 255, Beechey and Underwood regained the 2s lost in Auckland sales on Thursday, before the issue announcement, to sell again at 40s. P.T.Y. recovered Is to 265. National Insurance fell further to 25s 9d and also on the downgrade were Bonds old and B in line at 22s 3d.
