Strike Action Cancelled (N.Z. Press Assn—Copyripht) BUENOS AIRES. Oct. 1. Leader's of Argentina's organised labour movement today called off a 24-hour general strike scheduled for next Monday to coincide with President de Gaulle’s visit. The strike was called last week by the General Confederation of Labour, dominated by followers of the exiled Argentine dictator, Juan D. Peron. A C.G.T. spokesman told reporters the strike was being postponed indefinitely. The day-long stoppage was originally ordered by the C.G.T. to protest against court orders for the arrest of 119 of its leaders on charges of Inciting public disorder earlier this year.

Attempt Fails.—Mrs Nelson Rockefeller yesterday lost a court fight to regain custody of the four young children she gave up when she divorced her first husband last year and married New York’s Governor. —New York, October 2.
