Princess At Exhibition
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, Oct. 1. Scores of Sydney housewives surged around Princess Marina today when she visited the British exhibition in Sydney. Security guards had to hold back women who tried to touch the Princess’s clothing and take close-up photographs. Several children lost their footing in the crush. One policeman described the scene as “pandemonium.”
“The idea was to let the Princess have complete freedom, but the crowds hardly gave her a chance to breathe,” he added. Princess Marina remained unruffled by the crowds throughout her hour-long visit to the £2O million exhibition.
