VOTE FOR BOARDS

No Change Wanted (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 30. A change in the present system of electing education boards was discussed by the Education Boards’ Association today. Mr H. Mawson (Auckland) said the Secondary School Boards’ Association, the Technical Education Association and the Education Boards’ Association had discussed elections and were unanimous that the present system was the right one. Mr G. Matthew (Wellington) said that if every Tom, Dick and Harry was allowed to vote in board elections they would become chaotic. Board elections should not become a political football. The association reaffirmed its support for the present system of boards being elected by school committee members.
