Harbour Board’s Tournament

Two teams from the Lyttelton Harbour Board Social Club sailed to Wellington In the Hinemoa on Friday night for their annual football matches with the Wellington Harbour Board Sports and Pastimes Club. The Lyttelton board’s Rugby football team, holders of the E. R. Toop Shield, successfully defended the trophy at Melrose Park and beat Wellington, 17-8 Mr F. J. Kitts, the Mayor of Wellington, presented the shield to T. Gilmore, captain of the Lyttelton team. Mr Kitts Is a member of the Wellington Harbour Board. The association football match played at Porlrua Park was won by the Wellington team, 8-0.
