NEW CARGO VESSELS

Two Joining Port Line (NX Press Association) WELLINGTON. Sept. 28. The Port Line has announced that two fast cargo vessels now building at Dundee by the Caledon Shipbuilding and Engineering Company are to be named Port Huon and Port Albany.

Mr J. H. Cook, a director of the Port Line, said that the Port Huon will be launched on October 21 and will undergo delivery trials in January next year. The Port Albany’s trials are expected to take place in April Both ships are S9OO tons deadweight and identical in design, with a service speed of 19 Knots. They have a refrigerated capacity of 360.000 cubic feet, general cargo capacity of 19.000 cubic feet, and three bulk tallow tanks totalling 7700 cubic feet.
