Waltons Issue Statement
(N.Z. Press Association.) WELLINGTON Sept. 28. Directors of Waltons Ltd, have confirmed that the preliminary profit of £1,444.905 announced earlier is not subject to alteration. They also assure shareholders that they know of no condition which should interrupt its long record of successful trading. Directors issued the statement because of the fall in the market value of its shares. The annual report is now being printed and would be distributed a* usual early next month. Hardie-8.1.— A new company known as Hardie-8.1. Company,) Ltd, will conduct the thermal Insulation business which was formerly a division of James Hardie Asbestos, Ltd. This follows the merger of the thermal insulation companies of James Hardie and the Colonial Sugar Refining Company, Ltd.—(P.A.) North Auckland Farmers. — North Auckland Farmers' Co-op, Ltd. will pay Its final ordinary dividend of 31 per cent and preference dividend of 21 per cent on October 5. —(P.A.)
