ADVENTURER HOME

(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 28. Mr Barry Willis, aged 22, one of the two Wellington adventurers who lost their 25ft Japanese-built yacht, the Maiko, while attempting to sail from Japan to New Zealand, arrived home last week. With Mr Tom Corkill, aged 26, he left Okinawa in late June. The yacht was caught in a typhoon, dismantled and later stripped by pirates near San Fernando. The two took jobs on a ship bound for Australia where Mr Corkill has remained for the time being.
