Attack On Negro

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright? JACKSON (Mississippi), September 28. A pre-dawn explosion outside a Negro businessman’s home today caused extensive damage to a car and broke some windows in the house. Police said the explosive appeared to have been placed under one of two cars parked in the driveway of Mr I. S. Sanders, who told them he had been active in the civil rights movement. The blast was the latest in a series that have occurred outside Negro homes in Mississippi communities during the last few months. Several Negro churches also have been bombed or set afire.
