MAIREHAU CLUB

The Malrehau Novice Cycling Club brought its road racing season to a close on Saturday morning with a 30-kilometre race. The course was through Stewart’s Gully, Kainga, and Brooklands.

B. Coburn, riding from the middle mark, got up to take the sprint at Kainga and continued In the lead, and it was only in the last three-quarters of a mile that he was caught by P. Graham and W. Harwood. Results were: P. Graham 1, W. Harwood 2, B. Coburn 3. Fastest time: G. Wood (scr), 43:40.
