Boys’ Brigade Competition

The annual drill competition of the Canterbury Battalion of the Boys’ Brigade will be held in the Christchurch Technical College Hall on Saturday. This year the Ist Christchurch Company will defend the A grade trophy for the twelfth successive year. As in previous years, non-commis-sioned officers will compete for the Fleming medal. This will be the premier competition, and each company is expected to enter at least one squad in one of the grades. Each squad is composed of 12 boys, commanded by an n.c.0., and each squad has a number of set movements it must perform. The commanding officer will be Mr J. Bills and the chief drill officer will be Mr B. Weston.
