BEFORE THE LICENSING CONTROL COMMISSION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13. 1964. at 10.30 a.m. at the NO. 1 COMMITTEE ROOM, LABOUR DEPARTMENT, 2ND FLOOR, MAJESTIC THEATRE BUILDING. MANCHESTER STREET, CHRISTCHURCH, the Commission will hold a public sitting in terms of section 74 of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, to determine whether the issue of a new tourist-house premises licence is necessary or desirable within a radius of one mile from the junction near the Christchurch International Airport of Memorial avenue and Orchard road. This public sitting is being held following representations as to the need and desirability of erecting a large tourist house in the Christchurch International Airport area, and it is intended that the Inquiry be confined to that subject. It is desired that local authorities, other organisations, and persons interested should give evidence or make submissions, and those so. intending are requested to advise this office. Where evidence or submissions are being prepared 11 will assist the parties and tl>e Commission if four copies are available for handing in at the hearing.
