Aiding Tour Of Japan
A Rugby match between the University of Canterbury and an invitation fifteen selected by the Mid-Canterbury and former University player, D. J. Davison, will be held at the Ashburton Showgrounds on Sunday. The invitation team will include several of the successful Mid-Canterbury representative side and some promising younger players. The University team will contain numerous representative and New Zealand Universities players. The proceeds from the match will go towards the cost of meeting expenses of the University club’s tour of Japan in December.
