Forestry School Welcomed
The decision to establish a School of Forestry in the University of Canterbury (including some facilities at Lincoln College) was welcomed by members of the college council yesterday. Mr W. J. Cartwright said it was the culmination of very long-standing negotiations going right back to when the former school at Canterbury University College was disestablished.
The principal (Dr. M. M. Burns) said it was “a very heartening and a very wise decision."
