Senility

Sir,—Dr. R. A. Baker, of Cornwall Hospital, awakens New Zealand to the fact that attention for illness (which often in age remains hidden in acute confusion and is dangerously termed “senile”) can be restorative. When causes of many of these diseases are now scientifically known, would the “ideal" mentioned by Dr. Baker not be more readily achieved with attention to elimination of the circumstances or origins?—Yours, etc., TRUE PROGRESS. September 24, 1964.
