New Peak By Industrials Dow Jones industrial average has reached a new peak for the second day in succession. The latest figure, 855.57, is 3.66 above yesterday’s level. Latest share prices Indices are as follows: New York.— Dow Jones:
Aramoana Potato Shipments
The potato , tonnage carried by the Aramoana from the South to the North Island is well below that of the same time last year. In the four weekly period ended July 18, the Aramoana carried 439.5 tons of potatoes (or approximately 6593 sacks), to bring the total for this season to 1083.8 tons (16,257 sacks). By the same time last year, 58,128 sacks had been shipped to the North Island, with about 29,946 sacks being shipped during the comparable four week period. Rubber Distributors.— Rubber Distributors, Petone importers and manufacturers of rubber goods, shares will now be quoted in 10s units. This was approved by shareholders yesterday.—(P.A.)
