Discussion By Doctors (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept, 8. A remit calling for the general medical benefit, now 7s 6d, to be raised to 15s will be discussed at a council meeting of the . New Zealand Medical Association in Wellington tomorrow. The increase was recommended in the special report on the availability and distribution of doctors last year. The remit, submitted by the Wanganui division of the B.M.A. and supported by Auckland, asks the council to urge the Government to implement the recommendation.

General practitioners’ fees in most areas are 7s 6d .for a consultation and 10s for a visit. In some parts of Auckland these figures have been increased already.
