CABINET SCHISM
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) BLANTYRE, Sept. 8. Three of the nine Ministers of the Malawi Cabinet were dismissed yesterday and three more resigned. The Ministers dismissed are Mr K. Chiume (Foreign Affairs), Mr O. Chirwa (Justice and Attorney-General), and Mr Bwanausi (Development, Housing and Works). The Ministers who resigned are Mr Y. Chisiza (Home Affairs), Mr J. Msonthi (Transport and Communications), and Mr W. Chokani (Labour). The Ministers are at odds with the Prime Minister, Dr. Hastings Banda. The dispute is over arrangements made by Dr. Banda with Portugal.
