218,000 Saw Trade Fair
(N-Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 6. More than 218,000 persons saw Wellington’s International Trade Fair, which ended on Saturday. The manager (Mr C. W. Halliwell) said attendance was up 22,000 on last year’s New Zealand fair and up 5000 on the 1961 International Show. He was still compiling figures on orders taken, but already they appeared to exceed expectations. An Australian exhibitor had told him that orders taken in the early stages of the fair would be delivered in New Zealand this week.
