Ashburton Competitions Winners Receive Awards

An afternoon and evening concert were given at the R.S.A. Hall on Saturday to mark the end of the Ashburton Competitions Society's 1964 festival. Prizes were awarded.

The president of the society, Mr W. M. Kennedy, said this had been an excellent year. The festival had attracted some outstanding talent from a wide area, and had been gratifyingly supported by the public. He thanked all those who had helped in the running of the festival and said they had been a “grand bunch.” At the completion of the * evening concert, the Mayoress of Ashburton, Mrs J.
