THIEF LEFT LITTLE

Holiday House Ransacked (N Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 6. A holiday home at Kawakawa Bay, near Clevedon, was stripped of its furnishings worth about £6OO last week. The theft was discovered by the owners, Mr and Mrs F. H. Elliott, of Minerva terrace, Howick. “They took everything that could be moved,’-’ said Mrs Elliott tonight. “They even lifted carpets worth £3OO. All they left were the bedsteads and the dining room table, which were too big to go out the window.” Mr and Mrs Elliott found two windows open, but the doors were still locked, when they arrived today. The house is iri a secluded spot two miles east of Kawakawa Bay. The nearest neighbours are several hundred yards away.
