CONTRACT TO U.K.
Polythene Plant (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PEKING, Sept. 6. Two British firms will supply China with a £4,500,000 polythene plant which will be built on the outskirts of Shanghai, China’s largest industrial city. It will be supplied by Simon-Carves, Ltd., and Imperial Chemical Industries, Ltd., under a contract with the China National Technical Import Corporation, signed in Peking on Wednesday. This is the second big plant contract British firms have won in China during the last year. Last October Humphreys and Glasgow, Ltd., won an order for a chemical fertiliser plant which is now under construction in' Szechewan province. *
