Cross-Country Running
TECHNICAL.— The club held its weekly pack run on Saturday from Ensors road. The seniors ran 10 miles. Seniors: Pack 1: A. Evans 1, S. Gawler 2, N. Papps 3. Pack 2: R. Stewart 1, R. Baker 2, J. PRESBYTERIAN. The club held its annual Memorial Shield four-man relay over a course of approximately one and a half miles from Mr A. T. Candy's bach at Woodend beach. The course consisted of sandhills and a short length of road. Seniors and juniors ran two laps each and colts one lap. Each team consisted of three seniors (or juniors) and a colt. ROVER SCOUTS. Members held their run from 23 Stratford street, Fendalton, as the guests of Mr and Mrs C. Hamann. The seniors and juniors combined ran eight miles. Fined £5. Frederick Arthur Moss, aged 31, a ship’s steward, was fined £5 when he appeared, before Messrs L. J.’ Shuker and C. Gass, Justices of the Peace, in the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court on Saturday on a charge of behaving in a disorderly manner in Revell’s Restaurant. Moss pleaded guilty.
