New Forestry Scheme
(N.Z. Press Association? WELLINGTON, September 1. Work has commenced on a 4500-acre forestry scheme on the sand hills overlooking the Kawhia Harbour. The Minister of Forests (Mr Gerard) said today this year an area of 250 acres of marram grass was to be planted by machine starting about a mile and a half from Kawhia township. Next year this stabilised area would be planted in trees and a further 250 acres of marram grass established.
