U.S. CHEESE QUOTAS
(N.Z. Press Association! WELLINGTON, Aug. 31. New Zealand will be able ot continue to export Colby cheese to the United States to the same extent as for the last two years, the Minister of Overseas Trade (Mr Marshall) said today. Mr Marshall was commenting on a Washington report which said new quotas for Colby cheese imports Into the United States had been agreed to by New Zealand, Australia and Ireland. The Colby cheese trade had been pioneered by the New Zealand dairy industry, Mr Marshall said. In 1962. New Zealand, at the request of the United States Government, limited exports of Colbv cheese for the year ending June 30, 1962. to 11,600,0001 b and for subsequenut years to 6.720.0001 b. or 3000 tons. The latter figure was to be continued for a further year.
