DUNEDIN GIRL WINS HORNPIPE TITLE

TIMARU, August 25. Elizabeth smith, of Dunedin, with 88 points, won the Dominion under 18 Sailor's Hornpipe championship, held at the Scottish Hall, Thnaru, today, in conjunction with the twelfth annual piping and dancing competitions being conducted by the Tlmaru Competitions Society. Her sister, Rosslyn Smith (88) was second, and Jeanette Percy, of Tauranga, was third with 87 points. Mary Lemon, of Dunedin (85) was very highly commended,' and Lorraine Dewar (84) was highly commended. There were 10 competitors.
