MEMBERS HONOURED

(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Aug. 25. The triennial conference of the New Zealand Federation of University Women has bestowed the title of member emerita on two of its distinguished members. The honour had been conferred previously on only one other member, the late Mrs Helen Benson, of Dunedin. The two recipients today were Miss Beryl Jackson and Mrs E. I. A. Macdonald, of Auckland, both former Dominion presidents. Miss Jackson was founder of the now firmly established public affairs committee of the federation and was prominent in many international bodies. Mrs Macdonald brought distinction to herself and the federation by being elected for two terms to the cultural relations committee of the International Federation of University Women.
