TOO LATE
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 24. Traffic microwave unit detectors fitted in cars in the United States had not proved successful, said Mr A. W. Douglas, traffic supervisor for the New South Wales Police Department, on arriving in the Monterey today after two months’ study of traffic control systems in America. He said that by the time the detector had picked up the microwave, the motorist was already on the screen.
