BRAMBLES IND. ISSUE
One-For-Three Bonus Brambles Industries, Ltd., Sydney engineer,- will make a one-for-three bonus issue to shareholders registered on October 30. The dividend rate will be reduced to 15 per cent on the increased capital, directors say. Dividend return to shareholders will be unchanged. The issue, from share premium reserve, will increase paid capital by £798,952 to £3.195,810. The company will increase nominal capital from £sm to £lom. Last month Brambles reported that group net profit for the year ended June 30 had risen 33.3 per cent to £720,182. Earning rate rose from 23.8 to 30.05 per cent on capital.
Bid For Yock Succeeds (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug. 24. Consolidated Plastic Industries, Ltd., Auckland, has received acceptances from holders of 98.5 per cent of the share capital of J. Yock and Company, Ltd., Auckland. The bid was declared unconditional on July 31, when acceptances already' exceeded the 53 per cent directors required. The offer, made on July 21, was three Consolidated Plastic 10s ordinary shares .for every J. Yock 20s share.
