Church Assembly At Timaru
The final talk at a four-day assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Timaru yesterday nesses at Timaru was entitled “Peace among Men of Good Will or Amageddon—Which?” The presiding minister for New Zealand (Mr C. Canty) said that men of good will had no part in fighting “for their God will fight this battle from heaven on behalf of what is right” More than 4500 meals at the rate of 15 a minute were served to those attending the convention, which was described as the biggest Timaru had seen. Fifteen new adherents were baptised in a portable, heated pool.
