NO CHANGES IN TEAM
Last Match Of Season I Although beaten, 3-2, by Wellington last Saturday, the Canterbury senior soccer team is unchanged for the last representative match of the season, against Otago at English Park on Saturday. The only doubt concerns the Christchurch City right wing, R. Bruce, who injured a leg 10 minutes before fulltime against Wellington and was replaced by A. Westwood.
The game against Otego is the second leg of the Jones Cup, decided on goal aggregate after home-and-away matches. Otego won the first leg, 3-2, at Dunedin in May. The Canterbury team, announced yesterday by the selector (Mr V. Smith), is:— D. Smith (Western): P. Flynn (Shamrock), A. Hawthorne (Nomads): A. Gowans (City), D. Simmonds (Nomads), H. Taylor (Shamrock); Bruce, E. Taylor (New Brighton) captain, P. Kay (H. 5.0.8. D. Bussey (Western). W. Logan (Technical Old Boys). Reserve: A. Westwood (City).
