AVIATION NOISE

Expert To Visit

Christchurch

Professor E. J. Richards, a member of the council of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and recognised as a world authority on the effect and impact of aviation noise, will visit Christchurch next week.

On Wednesday he will address the Canterbury branch of the society on noise research carried out at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research at the University of Southampton. Professor Richards is the director of the institute.

Among his past appointments Professor Richards was the aerodynamic designer of the Viscount, Valiant, Viking, Varsity and Valeria aircraft.
