Misbehaviour On Buses

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug. 5.

Cases of school bus pupils ripping up floorboards, tearing out seats, fighting and jumping up and down in buses were cited by the Auckland Education Board’s transport officer, Mr B. Penk, to today's board meeting.

He felt the board should give the drivers the right in extreme cases to put a child off the bus for the safety of all. The board referred the subject to the Education Boards’ Association executive for opinions.

Decimal Issue.—The Royal Mint has struck a new decimal coinage for Sierra Leone. It is the first national currency of Sierra Leone and is based on a one Leone (equivalent to 10s sterling) of 100 cents. It is also the first decimal coinage of sterling in West Africa.—London, Aug. 4.
