SYDNEY, August 5.
Kalgoorlie Goldfields Petroleum N.L., a former exploration company whose main interest is investment in Ampol Petroleum, Ltd., has received a take-over offer from a New Zealand company. The bidding company is R. A. Brierley Investments, Ltd., of Welling on, who has offered Kalgoorlie Gold 2s a share for the fully paid 5s shares issued. Contributing shares, of which there are 943,722 compared with only 200,000 5s fully paid shares, have not been included in the offer.
Total acceptance by holders of the fully paid shares would involve £20,000. Kalgoorlie Gold surrendered its oil area in December after a disappointing report from the company’s geologist. R. A. Brierley has been quite active in take-overs of several small companies in New Zealand.
