The market trend continuedsteady yesterday, with prices tending to ease slightly on the Sydney Stock Exchange. Turnover of industrial shares was average, with 489,000 being traded, while in the mining section the turnover was heavier at 216,006. The most active stocks were Trans Oil (77,000), 8.M.1. MELBOURNE Industrials values remained steady in quiet trading on the Melbourne Stock Exchange yesterday as the pre-Budget lull continued. Most leaders fluctuated narrowly, but Drug Houses lost a further fid to 45s 3d. Santos dropped 2s fid to 33s fid, otherwise oils moved narrowly. Most base metals eased, but Mount Isa Improved 6d to 475. Loans were flrm.
