Complaint Over Newspapers

WELLINGTON, August 5. The Court of Arbitration will hear a complaint against the two Wellington newspapers, the “Evening Post” and the “Dominion,” by the New Zealand Labourers’ Federation on August 18 over Manapouri contract awards reports.
The complaint is laid under a section of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, which provides that a person who prints and publishes anything calculated to obstruct or in any way interfere with or prejudicially affect any matter before a council or the Court is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding £5O.
