Moderate Day
A maximum temperature of 51 degrees was recorded at Harewood between 1 and 2 p.m., and at the Botanic Gardens at 3 o’clock yesterday. The start of the day was cool, with 41 degrees recorded at 9 a.m, but temperatures had risen 10 degrees by midday. The wind was light to moderate and variable. The temperature on the Government Life building at 5 p.m. read 49 degrees.
