Sentence For Rape
Mr Justice Macarthur in the Supreme Court yesterday sentenced Harry Edmunds, aged 20, a workman, to four years’ imprisonment for rape. A jury last week found Edmunds guilty of the offence. Mr C. M. Roper appeared for the Crown, and Mr L. G. Holder appeared for Edmunds. Decree Nisi Granted Freda Hannah Daken (Mr J. A. Bretherton) was granted a decree nisi in divorce by Mr Justice Macarthur in the Supreme Court yesterday. The petition was brought against Noel Clive Daken on the ground of a written separation agreement.
