TN.Z. Vress Association) LEVIN, Aug. 5. A man, with a hammer in his hand poised to smash the display window of a photographic studio in Levin was seen by a 17-year-old youth emerging from his father’s restaurant nearby in the early hours of this morning. The man smashed the window of Anton's Studio, Oxford street, and snatched from a display of camera equipment, a slide projector valued at £54 15s 4d.

The man jumped into a car parked in front of the shop and made off.

The youth, Robert Clyde, rushed into the restaurant and telephoned the police. A search of the town in the police patrol car failed to trace the cpr used in the offence.
