Eat Less To Live

(New Zealand Press Association)

WELLINGTON, Aug. 4. “I have learned a few lessons the hard way,” the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall) told the annual conference of newspaper advertising managers today.

The president of the Newspaper Proprietors* Association (Mr H. N. Blundell) had just complimented Mr Marshall on looking so well after his recent illness.

Mr Marshall said he was still working halftime—eight hours a day instead of 16.

He said he had taken off more than two stones.

“And I can give you the remedy if you want it,” he said, looking round the conference room. “I can see some here who might profit by it. It is very simple. You just don't eat so much.”
